Located within The Art of Custom Framing, Elevate Gallery seeks to promote the work of up-and-coming Michigan artists by providing a space to exhibit and sell their artwork

Fur, Feathers & Fine Art
We are seeking animal-inspired artwork by local artists for a benefit exhibition raising funds for the Michigan Humane Society. This exhibition aims to highlight local talent while supporting lifesaving programs for animals in our community.
All mediums are welcome
Deadline for submissions: March 12, 2026
Up to 2 pieces may be submitted for consideration
Artwork size up to 8" x 10", framed or unframed
Please include a short artist bio (3-5 sentences) with your artwork submission (i.e. education, past exhibits)
Opening reception will be held at The Art of Custom Framing's Elevate Gallery on March 27, 2026 from 4pm-7pm. The show will then be on display for 1 month.
Selling price of artwork will be determined by The Art of Custom Framing. There will be locked prices based on size.
Online Submissions: Individual files cannot exceed 10 MB. If multiple files are uploaded, the total cannot exceed 15 MB.

The exhibition showcases the work of Jim Nawara and Lucille Procter Nawara, who are early influencers of contemporary artists in Detroit. Additionally, it features four prominent painters and educators: Rick Vian, Susan Friedman, Clinton Snyder, and Shirley Parish.
Each of these individuals has made a significant impact on the Detroit art community.
